| Block a space | One of the big topics during my study
at the Rotterdam Academy of fine arts was the 'space' in relation to the
intervention of the artist. I was studying sculpture, but the department
concerning had changed it's name (for a while during the mid 70's)
in 'idea development', because at the time the emphasis was strongly aimed
at conceptual development.
One assignment, derived from the conception of space, was 'to block a space'. |

| Movement | By situating an object in a space - not utterly voluminous, but still taking an imaginary larger space by means of movement - I tried to address this conceptual problem. |
